Great Meeting and Community Input on November 17th!

Over 200 residents attended the November 17th Public Meeting

Over 200 concerned residents attended our meeting last Wednesday evening. After short presentations outlining the history, and concerns with the City’s plan for Hastings Park, our Community Resource Team answered questions posed by meeting participants. In a “Re-visioning Exercise,” participants were asked to identify features of Hastings Park they would most want in a new park plan. We also circulated a list of actions residents could take to support this campaign for a real park at Hastings Park. Letters of support from MP Libby Davies and MLA Shane Simpson were read at the meeting.

Five motions were carried unanimously at our meeting. We will bring these motions, and results of our community “Re-visioning Exercise” to City Council at their December 2nd Council Meeting.
